I have a confession to make. I’ve lived two miles away from Porthleven for most of my life and have never visited a food and music festival… What a mistake.
This year the theme was ‘Fiesta’ and even the boats were decked out for the occasion (pun intended my friends).

I visited last Saturday, a weird day of drizzle, heavy drizzle, and sunshine. Not that it seemed to put anyone off, the harbour was heaving.
I went with my friend and we soon realised (after rushing to the first food stall we could find and devouring a pulled pork burger each) that if we bought one of each thing that we fancied – i.e. everything – and shared it, then we could try twice as much!
The Kernow Sausage Company was our second port of call. I mean, with names like ‘Bandit Burger’ and ‘Pig In A Poncho’ fitting in so perfectly with the Fiesta theme, it would have been rude not to.
We were both tempted to go and share another one, they were that delicious.
Cornish Orchards make my favourite cider in the world. If, like me, you’re a fan of sweet cider try the Pear cider they do – it’ll blow your mind (and refresh your palette). Unfortunately I was driving so seeing them was slightly bitter-sweet.
I was very excited to meet Matt from the Cornwall Good Seafood Guide as I’ve seen so much about it on my newsfeed and I think it’s such a great concept. (If you’re interested in finding out more about the sustainable fishing industry in Cornwall follow this link to their brand new website).
There was so much amazing produce at the festival that I could harp on for pages and pages, so before you all fall asleep, I’ll just let the pictures do the talking…
(if you click on the pictures I’ve done my best to make sure they link to the suppliers web page).

This is a really lovely over view of the festival. You really captured the atmosphere in your photos. The food was so delicious, I am looking forward to next year already!!!
